Yogurt Cake
INGREDIENTS (for 4 people):
1 tsp baking powder
1 pot of yogurt ( I recommend using
either plain yogurt or vanilla yogurt)
1/2 yogurt's pot of oil
3 yogurt pots of flour
3 eggs
2 yogurt pots of sugar
PREPARATION:
1-In a salad bowl, place the sugar.
2-Add the eggs and mix well.
3-Pour in the yogurt and the oil.
4-Combine the flour with baking powder and add them to the bowl. Mix well.
5- Finally, pour the mix into a buttered and floured pan.
6-Bake in a hot oven at 350 °F for 20 to 30 minutes. (usually when it starts to smell good, the cake is almost ready)
7-Pick with a knife to check cooking.
SUGGESTIONS AND TIPS
You can decorate with candy, chocolate powder, jam or Nutella.
Pretzel
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon active rise yeast, 1/2 cup warm water, 1 teaspoon honey, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1-1/3 cup flour, 1 egg, Wax paper
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add honey, salt, and flour.
Flour wax paper and knead dough on top.
Roll into pretzel shape or whatever shape desired.
Place in pan. Brush pretzel with beaten egg.
Bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
Peanut Butter Log
Ingredients:
3/4 cup peanut butter, crunchy; 2 tablespoons honey; 2/3 cup non-fat dry milk powder; 1/2 cup breakfast cereal, unsweetened ; 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, optional; 1/4 cup raisins, optional
Mix all ingredients together. (Should be moist.)
Roll into log with waxed paper and refrigerate.
Slice when ready to serve.
Bagel Face
Ingredients:
bagels, cream cheese, tomato, cucumber, alfalfa spout
Cut bagels into halves.
Spread on cream cheese.
Arrange tomato slices as eyes.
Arrange cucumber slices as nose and mouth.
Arrange alfalfa spouts as hair.
Peach Cobbler
Cobbler:
6 cups peeled, chopped peaches
1/4 cup natural cane sugar
1 Tbs. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 Tbs. fresh lemon juice
Topping:
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
2 Tbs. unsalted butter, melted
2 Tbs. vegetable oil
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. To make cobbler: Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl, and toss. Pour mixture into 11x7 inch baking dish.
3. To make topping: Mix all ingredients in small bowl, and toss with a fork until well blended. Sprinkle topping evenly over peach mixture
4. Bake 40 minutes or until bubbly. Let cool slightly before serving.
